The Wrong Way to Introduce Past Clients to Another Loan Officer!

Question: One of our mortgage planners just recently moved to another company and we want to send something out to his database to let past clients know, that going forward, we have not forgotten them and another loan officer is available to take care of them.

With loan officers dropping out of the business like proverbial flies, it's absolutely critical to introduce your past clients to another loan officer who will be in charge of their future mortgage planning needs.

There is a right way and a wrong way to make the transition from the loan officer who has left the company to another LO who will be their future contact person.

First, the wrong way:

    Not notifying past clients in a timely manner (or not notifying them at all).

    Transferring ALL the past clients to just one loan officer.

    Only sending one notice about their new contact person.
