According to a recent study on e-mail marketing by DoubleClick.com, consumers (your clients) have indicated that they prefer e-mails over any other type of marketing.

    54% said they would like e-mails to replace telemarketing.
    45% said they would like e-mail to replace in-person calls.
    40% said they would e-mail to replace direct mail.

The key to successful e-mail marketing is getting the permission of your clients in advance. Gone are the days of sending out a mass e-mail to clients, family and friends and then expecting them to instantly call or e-mail you.

Permission-based marketing via e-mail takes time and commitment, but here are a few tips to get you started on your way to building loyalty and repeat business.
