You've probably taken personality tests before (or know of someone who has). Now MONEY Magazine has teamed up with Meir Statman, a Behavioral Finance Expert from Santa Clara University and Vincent Wood, President of a research and testing firm to create this unique test.
It's called a Money Personality Quiz! Everyone has a personality blind spot when it comes to money. But this test is designed to determine a person's financial behavior tendencies that may be sabotaging both long term and short term spending and goals.
It's a fun quiz to send to your clients, real estate agents and affinity partners. Send a copy to new prospects; give to clients at the time of loan application and of course, take the test yourself!
The 4 types are:
Artisan - Free-wheeling & Daring
Idealist - Cares less about money, more concern about social issues
Guardian - Cautious with their money
Rational - Makes most decisions by the numbers
When your clients take the 18-question quiz, they will find that they are a mixture of these tendencies but most will find a strong affinity to one or maybe 2 categories. It will also show your clients how to take advantage of their strengths and what to watch out for when it comes to spending and investing money.
When you download this quiz, you have the ability to add your name, company name, phone number and email address. Print (back-to-back) on 8 1/2" X 11" colored paper, fold over and send in a 6" X 9" envelope. If you are giving to married clients or co-borrowers, send 2 copies so they can compare the results.
