Why Work the Military Niche?

I admit it - I'm a Patriot. I still place my hand over my heart when the National Anthem is played - I still get misty eyed when Lee Greenwood sings "God Bless the U.S.A.". And so it was only natural that I would consider it one of the greatest honors of my life, to have the opportunity to serve the men and women of the United States Military by assisting these individuals in the purchase of a home. These men and women are the true HEROES of our nation and at the core, the H.E.A.R.T., of who we are at Team Thaxton, and what we do, is serving those who serve.

One of my key offices is located in a small town just south of a military installation. As you can imagine, the majority of my clients are military families in search of a new home. Because many of my clients are purchasing their home just a few days or weeks after the transfer to their new location, there are times when we have to move fast and make the world turn faster because our clients are living in temporary quarters and time is truly of the essence! We realize that this may be an extremely stressful time for them, and our team has focused on creating an atmosphere that is not only friendly and family oriented, but also one of service in the small things - and hopefully one that honors our clients for their courageous service to our country.

I have used the acronym H.E.A.R.T. because it is our H.E.A.R.T., the center of who we are and what we stand for, that makes the core difference in how we serve our military clients. My team has set itself apart by going the extra mile for our clients, going above and beyond the "call of duty"! Anyone can quote an interest rate and fees. It is our H.E.A.R.T. - a heart to serve those who serve us - those great American Heroes - our men and women in the United States military - that has set us apart from the rest.

H - is for "Honor". When soldiers walk into our office, they recognize that we not only HONOR our country, we HONOR them individually and their service to our country. Our office is saturated in red, white and blue, from American flags, to posters, to the patriotic "goody bags" filled with candy and gifts that we give to the children! The walls are plastered with flag prints, motivational posters featuring the Blue Angels, or ones that celebrate the history of our nation. We offer our clients their choice of beverages or snacks on red, white and blue tableware. We give coloring books to the young ones which we have hand designed and entitled "Out Nation's Heroes". These are just some of the small ways to "give back" to these heroes and their families.
