Once in a while, an opportunity so promising comes along; you just have to jump in and hang on for the ride. You know it’s going to be big, big, big. And you wonder, “Why doesn’t everyone else see what I see?” Well, I had this eye opening experience just the other day when I ran into a long time friend.

This lady is quite an accomplished originator in her own right, make no mistake. Even in this turbulent market, she is doing just fine, thank you. However, when we saw each other at the bookstore, she mentioned that she was still considering adding reverse mortgages to her product offerings. I was surprised that she made this comment since we had the same conversation about six months prior when we saw each other at a networking meeting. I had to ask, so I did.

“Arlene, just what is holding you back? You are a very good originator, you know your stuff inside out, and so what could it be?” I was astonished at her response.

She said, “Sue, I’m just not sure, I think I’m afraid. I don’t know what to say to these people, and I don’t know how to start.”
