Shopping For a Net Branch – 20 Key Questions to Ask

20 Questions to Ask if You are Looking to Change Companies!

Written By: Karen Deis, an interview with Sally Bucciero

It all started when I met Sally Bucciero at a seminar. Sure, we’ve talked on the phone. She was even featured in one of my books about successful women. But I’d never met her.

So, I asked her if she was still with the same mortgage company. She rolled her eyes and that’s when she told me her story about going to work for the “wrong” company (for her that is) and decided to find a company who would be a better fit.

So, this time around, she was going to avoid the mistakes she made. Sally then went on to develop a list of 20 questions (which she didn’t bother to ask before) to help with her decision.

I interviewed Sally and asked her to share the top 5 questions. In addition, she has graciously shared all 20 questions, which you can download, just in case you are shopping for a net branch in the future.

Karen: Would you give us some background on the process that you went thru to determine what questions to ask?

Sally: In June 2008, I was working as a broker and saw the landscape changing in our industry. I needed to make a change. I was shooting in the dark. I went with a company that everyone would recognize the name of — but quickly found out that it was NOT a fit for me. Through this experience, I decided to shop for another company, creating a series of questions that were important to me.

Karen: I understand that one of the first questions to ask yourself is, “Do the company’s values line up with your values?” What do you mean by that?
