A while back, we wrote a series of articles about marketing to apartment complexes:
...and one of them talked about an easy way to obtain apartment complex addresses.
Wayne Novak, a loan officer with McAffee Mortgage, has found an even easier way to compile apartment complex addresses by using the Internet and the USPS website. Here's exactly what you need to do:
- Log on to www.zip4.usps.com.
- Enter the apartment complex address with just the address, city and state - but WITHOUT the zip code. (You can find the "main address" of the apartment complex in your local yellow pages.)
- When you click the "submit" button, you will be given the "address scheme" with the unit numbers of the apartments.
- Once you have the apartment numbers, enter them into an Excel Spreadsheet. You don't need the name of the person living there. The name of the "addressee" will be "Future Homeowner". Remember, the apartment addresses NEVER change - but the tenants do!
