Random Notes: More Click Thru's On Your Website - Guaranteed!
In a recent article, top-producing real estate agents found that they were generating “home page hits’ on their websites—but their “click thru” ratios sucked.
While clients and prospects were visiting the home page by the thousands, their back end tracking systems discovered that only a few hundred people would visit the rest of the pages that contained the “meat” of their website—their listings and community information.
At least that was the case until several agents added this “button” to their sites!
The home page remained the same, but included an additional tool bar that said “don’t click here” button. Once they did, they were directed to another page with additional tool bars and a brief description of what they would be viewing on each page.
The end result, page hits on their websites nearly tripled!
OK, now think about this concept for your mortgage business. By making this one of the buttons on your home page, people will click thru to the meat of your site—recent rates, free reports, about you, loan programs, pre-quals and free credit reports.
It’s important that you have a back end tracking system to monitor each page hit or you will have absolutely no idea if the concept will work for you. You can track both the before and after results.
If you don’t have an admin section for your site—you need to get one—it’s that important and it’s the only way you know how effective your website really is!
