Regardless if you are sending an approval letter to a client or a marketing piece to a real estate agent, getting that envelope opened is the FIRST thing you need to consider.
The size, the color, the texture, the label - all play an important part in the envelope you choose to use. Be creative. Here are some cheap ideas on what you can do!
- Oversized Envelopes - 6" X 9", 9" X 12", or 10" X 13"
- Colored Envelopes - Both #10 and Oversized Envelopes can be purchased in a variety of colors.
- Handwrite the address - Use colored ink instead of black or blue
- Include your picture - Print your picture on either the back or front by running the envelope thru your personal printer.
- Print your picture on an over-sized mailing label
- Use a colored label - instead of white
- Change the texture - Try the linen-look (black is especially striking) or foil envelopes
- Use envelopes from the Post Office - While you'll pay a little more for postage, use the priority envelopes from your local post office - they're free.
