Sometimes, You Feel Like a Blog, Sometimes You Don't

Written By: Karen Deis

About a third of the loan officers that I talk with don’t have a website anymore — they have created their own blog sites, or are “guest bloggers” or a “comment blogger” on other, well-known real estate sites. The beauty of blogging is that it can be both “local” and “national”.

It has no limit to the number of words — it’s easy to update. You can ask people to follow you thru an RSS feed opt-in, so when you write something, they automatically get a notice that you wrote something cool on your blog.

First, decide the profile of who your readers will be. I suggest that you have two separate, distinct blogs - one for real estate agents and one for clients/prospects. Second, choose a name and buy a domain name for each.

A loan officer friend of mine, Tracey Rumsey, SWBS Mortgage in Utah, is a marathon runner.
